A Fond Farewell

We bid farewell to the training wheels this week, and I couldn't be more excited to see Jaya's progress with riding her bike. I was on a recent trip to Wal-mart buying treats so I could start potty training Eden, when the other two girls wanted in on the action. So they each picked a goal and a treat. Jaya's goal was to ride her bike with no training wheels. It's amazing the power of sugar with that one! The next day she was wheel free.

Okay so this post was a much debated over post, but it's just too funny to pass up. I guess it's the pictures that are the much debated part but I have decided to share.

I have decided to start swimming, I wanted to stay in shape and thought this the best route. I did hit a snag and that was I didn't have a maternity swimsuit. I have enough friends that are bearing children so I asked one if she had one I could borrow. She said she did, she did have a disclaimer that was; her husband said she could never wear it in public again. I laughed and said "Well a swimsuit is a swimsuit, I will take it."

She convinced me that it really wasn't that bad. When she gave it to me, I quickly realized what her husband was talking about! I tried it on for laughs anyway, but it has seriously shaken my opinion on my friends sense in fashion. I don't have much fashion sense of my own but even I know NO ONE should wear this:

The best part was the next day I was going through the girls swimsuits and I found this one of Eden and I instantly thought, WOW that looks a lot like my new get-up. I do have to say I am a little disappointed that I don't have any pink ruffles sewn on my bum, because that would have definitely made it a keeper!

Don't you worry I got online and bought a maternity swimsuit that night!

I could sell her

A phenomenon happened over Thanksgiving, and it's taken me this long to blog about it. What happened is while we were there Eden's hair started curling. I thought it was the humidity but when we returned back home to our desert it stuck. I LOVE it. It's especially cute when I put a little mousse and hairspray in it.
I had one friend say she was so cute she wanted to sell her, I don't quite understand this analogy, but I do think she is cute!

My vision, now a reality

For a long time I have envisioned our little home with hardwood flooring (the laminate kind). Anything to get rid of the 90's patterned linoleum we did have. I have talked and talked about it until, I got it in Darrin's head too! A couple of months ago, it became a reality. Darrin and I installed it ourselves (which really means Darrin) and now there is just a little trim work and finishing touches left. I am so happy with it, and I really do feel like it's becoming a home!

Cracking up

I have been waiting all week for Friday, the reason for this anticipation was that Jaya had no school. I love it when she is out, because we can do whatever we want, when we want. So today we chose to dye Easter Eggs. I didn't count on all the breaking and cracking that would occur, as I haven't done this with Eden yet, but the girls had a nice snack while we dyed the eggs. We did this without Darrin and I must admit it was a little stressful trying to watch all the cups and Eden's spastic movements, next year we will do it on a Saturday, so Dad will be home to help!

Rock On!

Jaya came home from school the other day and told me that tomorrow they got to dress up like whatever they wanted to be when they grow up. I said "Well, what do you want to be?" With no hesitation she replied, "I want to be a rocker!". Fortunately for all of us, a rocker in her mind is much different from mine. To her a rocker is just someone that plays the guitar and sings rock music. She hasn't associated the usual piercings, revealing clothing, drug abuse, and any of the other too common things that are usually attached to this career. I do have to admit she does sing pretty good, and she makes a cute rocker, if I do say so myself.

Still Growing

I am sure that Darcy would not want me to post this picture of her, but I can't help myself, she is such a cute pregnant lady. Only 3 months until our Boy joins us.
